Outback Excursion 3: Kings Canyon

I'm sorry I've been so late on this post...I've been busy trying to remember higher level math! Its been high school since I last took Calculus and now I have to take it again for me MBA program. If you don't use it...well, you get the idea.

Day 3 was perhaps my favorite day. We got up early again and headed to Kings Canyon - a couple of hours away. Let me tell you, it was gorgeous. Like a mini-Grand Canyon without the Colorado River. We did an 8k hike up to the top, around the rim of the gorge and the back down to the car park. Some shots...

I'd put up more, but you can check out the slideshow on the right. Truely a beautiful day and incredible experience.

After the canyon we travelled over an unpaved outback road for a couple of hours. Those of you who know the joys of travelling on dirt roads let me tell you... You ain't seen nothin' yet. We bounced, and bounced and bounced! Fun for a while, but we were all getting headaches and glad to be done by the time we hit pavement again.

We had a great trip. Can't wait for our trip to the GREAT BARRIER REEF!!!
